I’m going to be cutting down posts to 1 or 2 a week for the next few weeks. They’ll probably be just recipes because I am in the process of changing from wordpress.com to Blogger.
As much as I love the WordPress platform unless you have the $100+ per year for your own domain and hosting you’re pretty limited on bells and whistles.
What it means for you- if you subscribe via email or RSS (Google Reader) you shouldn’t be affected by the move. If all goes well the feeds will swap easily with just a click or two on my part and no work on your end.
However if you get my posts through WordPress you’ll need to subscribe via RSS or email or you can follow me on Twitter or the Facebook Fan Page to get the latest posts. I suggest email or RSS because I will be able to send out for subscribers only e-books and other downloads.
Along with the ability to offer subscriber only materials, I’ll be able to have a “Pin It” button right in the posts and will have a related posts widget so you can find similar posts from the archives.
All 300 plus posts will be transferred so you don’t have to worry about losing any of your favorite recipes. I will announce the grand opening of the new blog when it is ready and within a day or two this one will serve to point people coming from link ups and other places to the new posts.
I hope to have everything ready by August 28 which happens to be the 4 year anniversary of Cookin’ Mimi. I have some freebies planned as well as some other fun stuff.
