Barbecue Beef Flatbread Melts

barbecue beef flatbread melts

This was inspired by the Sonic Hickory Flatmelts. I’ve never actually had one but from the description of them I knew an at home version could be pretty easy to make.

I went to the whole hog route and made my own flatbread wraps and marinated the meat in a hickory marinade but you could buy the flatbread from the store and use a hickory barbecue sauce. The time spent making the actual melts is very short. The meat and onion mixture doesn’t take very long to cook in a skillet and you can have the cheese melted on the bread in a flash.
