Bacon Wrapped Barbecued Chicken Breasts


This is a weeknight perfect main dish. Strips of chicken, wrapped in bacon and bathed in barbecue sauce cook up quickly in the oven. Serve with a green salad and your favorite steamed vegetable and you have a delicious meal in around 30 minutes.

Bacon Wrapped Barbecue Chicken Breasts


  • 4-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8-12 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • salt and pepper


Preheat oven to 400 degree. Pound each chicken breast with a mallet until it is an even thickness. Cut in half vertically. Season each breast with salt and pepper. Wrap a slice of bacon tightly around each breast half using toothpicks to secure if needed. Place on a sheet pan with sides and bake for 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp and chicken is cooked through. Baste with barbecue sauce during the last five minutes of baking. Serves 4-6
